Karin Hahn has more than a decade’s experience teaching German as a foreign language to managers and professionals with major corporations in sectors including bio-technology, pharmaceuticals, financial management and consulting, civil\n and railway engineering. With a degree in German language and literature (Dipl. Germanistik) from the Humboldt University Berlin, she is an active literary critic and radio journalist to be heard regularly on\n German National Radio<\/a> and has produced radio plays and other programming, as well as writing a highly praised blog,\n lese24<\/a>, reviewing new books published in Germany. She is also a Juror for ‘Die Besten 7’ a Monthly Award for Books for Children and Young People.\n

Working online from home, or at the workplace, with a video link via Cisco’s Webex it is possible to talk and converse, listen to audio, watch video material or write and draw in a one to one situation without the distreactions of\n group based c\u00f6assroom teaching and avoiding the time consuming business of travelling to a classes.\n

Whether learning German as an absolute beginner, or polishing and developing your abilities, steady but regular improvements are gained from the proven method of learning in German from the very first lesson.\n

Following a personally planned course of online classes brings immediate results, especially if students follow up each class with a little homework to learn the vocabulary and grammer covered.\n

Beginning with a free consultation class to assess your current abilities and needs, the course is planned as one-hour classes, once, or perhaps twice a week. Each one-hour class costs \u20ac30 and are booked in blocks of 5 classes costing\n \u20ac150. An invoice will be sent to you, or your employer for payment by bank transfer in Germany, or via Paypal for students located elsewhere.\n

While many organisations in Germany do use English at work, for anyone based in Germany, or working with German speaking clients, being able to talk to colleagues and clients in their own language is immediately beneficial.\n
Acquiring a working knowledge of German may be even more important for partners and family members living in Germany. The ability to write good clear German is invaluable. It is never too soon to start and anyone expecting to relocate\n to Germany is well advised to start learning the language before they travel. \n

Whatever your goal, whether to progress through the assessed levels of abilities, from A1 & A2, B1 & B2 to C1 & C2, the classes could lead you to formal assessment via the Goethe Institute examinations, or simply improve\n your knowledge of German to a level that meets your personal needs and aspirations.\n
